Parkinson’s Exercise Classes
Ruby and Jane run small-group, 60-minute exercise classes specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s disease. Each class is part of an 8-week block we’ve carefully developed together, combining Jane’s expertise as a neurophysiotherapist with Ruby’s experience in movement science, to provide safe, effective and enjoyable sessions.
Each 8-week block includes a pre and post programme assessment, allowing us to understand how you move at the start and how things change across the block, while ensuring the class remains appropriate, safe and relevant to you throughout.
We keep our groups small (10 people) so both Jane and Ruby can offer personalised guidance, including regressions and progressions where needed, making the class as specific to each individual as possible. Classes are designed to support movement capacity, everyday function and independence, focusing on key aspects such as:
Balance and postural control
Gait, walking patterns, and rhythm
Strength and endurance
Flexibility and range of motion
Coordination and proprioception
Dual-task capacity
Cognitive-motor integration
Expect a mix of games, boxing and other engaging exercises throughout, designed to challenge and support you while keeping things playful.
You’ll get guided, personalised practice, but in a space where it’s ok to experiment, laugh and explore what your body can do. Movement is meant to be lived, felt and played with. Come throw things at the wall, let’s see what sticks.
